I was disappointed by the tone of some of last weeks' Letters supporting up to 355 houses in the Quarry.
This isn't a battle of Pacificans vs. Pacificans. The enemy is the unacceptably vague ballot measure and the 355 houses and traffic nightmare it would create.
The truth is both simple and kind of boring: there is no plan, there is no project, there is no "New Urbanism", there are no guarantees, there are only the 355 houses the ballot measure would authorize.
The full text of the ballot measure is at http://www.pacificaquarry.org/petition for those of us interested in reading it for ourselves.
I can't and won't make the leaps of faith that the out-of-town developer is demanding. I'll take the prudent course and vote NO in November to 355 new households in the Quarry.
