So Silly
It is so silly that some people (and thankfully, it seems to be a small percentage of them) do not seem to want the truth. The pro Peebles people seem to say, "let's welcome anyone to our city with any plans that sound good; and here is the key to our city". As responsible citizens, we need to do our homework and research, then try to figure out the truth.
Remember nothing is in writing. All we are voting for is the housing.
In addition, yes, some of us have done our homework researching a potential business partner; this is what you do if you are going to make wise decisions.
For your information, you cannot really print things that are not true about someone without some sort of big problems. So perhaps you should think about that when you are accusing your fellow concerned citizens of passing on false stories. Remember these are other people's stories; we are just checking them out for ourselves. America is the land of the free, is it not? We have a right to check anyone out before believing in anything that anyone could say. If those articles are so awful, why has there been no move to stop those articles from the Miami Herald and the internet-- as well as other news sources-- if they are not true?
It is sad that fellow citizens that live here would be so quick to accuse one another of lying, before looking to the brand new people that have not even proven their good intent, and that do not even live here.
For crying out loud, who do you think would be the more truly caring people: the folks that have lived here raised their families here or some out of town corporation that has not lived here, raised their families here, or plan to live here?
I know that there are many other folks that live here that have much better ideas on how we can make our city more financially stable without the huge risks of empty promise.
