This weekend, Pacificans began receiving push-poll [1] telemarketing calls from "The Rockaway Quarry Committee", the group funded by Peebles Atlantic Development Corporation, and stage managed by Peebles' Southern California P.R. firm, Davies Communications [2].
The calls ask:
"Do you support the community vision?"
But Measure L [3] doesn't represent any "community vision"; it is just a blank check for any developer to build 355 houses in the Quarry [4].
If you receive the call, some questions to ask might be:- What "community vision [5]" do you mean?
- Where are you calling from [6]?
- How much [7] are you getting paid?
- Who is paying your salary [8]?
